Soyosan Mountain is well-known for its autumn colors but it is actually beautiful all four seasons. Among them, spring, when cherry blossoms start to bloom, is of particular splendor. However, without a proper festival to celebrate at this time of the year, not only the citizens of Dongducheon but also visitors of the mountain have been deeply disappointed. This yearning has led to the 'Soyosan Mountain Spring Outing Festival' to come into the world. The festival started off in 2017 with various events. It featured famous and familiar celebrities, garnering a great response from the audience, and was highly acclaimed for taking stage art culture to a next level. At the festival, not only stage performances are held, but also a variety of cultural events such as exhibitions, traditional performances, and hands-on activities are prepared by the local cultural artists and organizations throughout the Soyosan Mountain area.
This Year's Soyosan Mountain Spring Outing is?
A far more abundant festival is expected to take place with all kinds of stage performances and hands-on activities, which will give its citizens and visitors unforgettable autumn memories. In particular, the Princess Yoseok Pageant targeting high school girls and women of Dongducheon is on its way, receiving much attention. At this year's festival, numerous performances ranging from performances by invited performance groups, to cultural art performances by associations, and Princess Yoseok Pageant, as well as performances by invited celebrities are planned to take place. Also, diverse hands-on activity booths and exhibition booths will be run to satisfy the visitors' eyes and ears.
